Beast Mode had all the Locust. Y'know, Flame Grenadiers, Therons, Grinders maybe even Reavers or Brumaks.

Opinions?

I was hoping for some Lambent Locusts in Beast mode I'm surprised they wasn't put in. Maybe future DLC or maybe never happen but yea I would love to use a Brumak

I'm sure there's gonna be DLC for more characters but don't quote me on that lol

Was thinking of Lambent as well. But again, There isn't much Lambent enemies is there? Polyps, Drones, Drudges, Wretches, Gunkers, Berserkers and Formers. Miss any?

But otherwise, I love Beast. And would love to be a Reaver and fly into the battlefield. But then again, There's a lot of barriers and so a Reaver could be problematic as well as a Brumak and it's size corresponding to small rooms and such.

I could see some in future DLC, but I'm sure Epic had reasons for not including them - many developers have limitations of budget and time, but I don't think Epic has these concerns Smile

Perhaps they were afraid of over-designing the game, it happens, too much can sometimes be bad, a perfect game is one that is easy to understand yet difficult to fully master so maybe Epic thought that having too many units to choose from may give the player too much to think about

Hmm... Imagine another Beast-like gametype as in you play as Locust doing stuff such as "Savage Drones holding Centennial Bridge" or "Siege of Anvil Gate" or even "Siege of Jacinto". If you couldn't get them in Beast as of maps, I think these would be good ideas.

That is a great idea, playable scenarios, great for a backstory for players to experience
I always said that after 3, Epic is bound to do a prequel to the Pendulum Wars.

They are saving shit for DLC.. EPIC is money hungry so we pretty much bought 70% of the game.. The other 30% we will have to wait for the DLC lol.

Let me see.....


Cyclops, Sniper, Savage Theron, Theron, Savage Kantus, Beast Rider, Drone, Bolter, Flame Boomer/Grenadier, Hunter, Miner, Grappler, Grinder, Gunner, Nemacyst, Palace Guard, Reaver, Brumak.

Now of course some could use tweaks, the Savage Kantus would be only available to those who pre-ordered the game, the Grapplers can grapple up areas like where the mortar/mulcher is on Thrashball, Gunners carry a troika turret on their back, slowing them down and only able to place on flat surfaces, Nemacyst are weak and only have the power to down a person, or kill one downed person though they leave a lasting ink gas.

Reavers and Brumaks are expensive and though they have power they cannot get in certain areas.

With those tweaks it seems to make the Locust a lot more fair.

I would think that the Reavers would have a lot of glitches to take care of, Brumaks are massive so not sure how they will fit properly in each of the maps with collision programming since the maps aren't designed for either of those creatures of those sizes

but I do like how you think with the Grapplers and the Gunners, those two additions do seem worth while as DLCs and are both practical as far as gameplay goes Smile

No matter how many characters are added to beast mode, the 1 minute limit completely ruins it for me.

The time limit used to annoy me but now it just adds to the excitement! I am still to do the insane beast to get the onyx - it adds a bit of longevity to those type of things!

I would like a beast mode without time limits like mentioned above - the scenario idea is brilliant! A beastly campaign level would really be something!
